Apex Legends Light Machine Guns. At the moment there are only two light machine guns in Apex Legends. They’re both pretty good, too, offering a fast rate-of-fire and decent damage! Either one is a good addition to your loadout, but make sure you know the differences between the two. There are six main weapon types in Apex Legends: sniper rifles, assault rifles, light machine guns, sub machine guns, shotguns, and pistols. This weapon might be good for vehicles or a group of enemies close by that can be shot in one go, but seems slightly impractical right now especially when there are no vehicles in the game, and that it takes some time to get up to speed with its fire rate.

All Apex Legends Guns
Apex Legends is one of the most popular video games out right now—and for good reason. Its fast-paced gameplay, great shooting mechanics, and focus on teamplay has pushed it to 50 million downloads in one month.
As most battle royales go, weapon combinations are incredibly important. You can only hold two weapons at a time in Apex Legends, so you must choose wisely if you want to become Apex Champion. In this weapons guide, we’ll run through some of the best combinations that will help you take down your foes.
“All-Purpose” (R301 + Scout)
This combination gives you the best of both worlds when it comes to medium-to-long range combat alongside close-quarter combat. The R301 is one of the most reliable guns in the game in terms of accuracy, fire rate, and damage. As a result, it is a really good gun to lean on in most situations, especially in close-to-medium range battles.
Meanwhile, the G7 Scout compliments the R301’s close-to-medium range perfectly. It fires much quicker than the Longbow and holds five more bullets too, making it the most flexible sniper rifle in the game. Together, you have a kit ready for any situation you find yourself in on King’s Canyon.
“Streamer Special” (R301 + Wingman)
The name of this combination says it all. Streamers love to roll out with the R301 and the Wingman, as it may be one of the flashier combos in the game. As noted, the R301 is very good from medium-to-close range and many streamers have impeccable aim as well. Therefore, the Carbine is a deadly weapon in their hands.
The Wingman is used by many streamers due to its exciting two-shot capabilities. Everyone loves hearing an opponent’s armor break after firing this hand cannon. Additionally, combining the two can be very efficient as players can use the pistol to break their opponent’s armor and then finish them off with the R301.
“Deadeye” (Longbow/Scout + Wingman)
The Deadeye loadout is meant for players who enjoy striking their foes from distance. If you trust your aim, the Longbow is the weapon for you, as it packs a wallop of a punch in its stock five round magazine. It does almost double the amount of damage than the G7 Scout. If you’d prefer a bit more leniency with missed shots, then pick up the Scout instead.
Along with the Wingman, you now have great dueling potential from medium-to-long range. The only pitfall for this combination is when your enemies get too close for your weapons to be efficient. Additionally, you have a quite limited amount of bullets so if you do run this combo, make every shot count. If you’d prefer a more intimate option, we’d refer you to the next combination in our list.
“Up Close and Personal” (R-99 + Peacekeeper)
The polar opposite of our Deadeye loadout, the Up Close and Personal weapon duo is perfect for players who like to run up into their opponents faces and knock them down with authority. The R-99 has one of the fastest fire rates in the game, and absolutely shreds enemies in close-quarter combat.
The Peacekeeper is also the best shotgun available that isn’t found in supply drops. If you are able to land a majority of the pellets on a target up close, you are sure to take them down in a short two to three shots. Of course, these weapons are almost useless at medium-to-long range, so plan your attacks accordingly.
“Bullet Rain” (Spitfire + Devotion)
This combo speaks to your inner Rambo, as it provides the most bullets out of all of these loadouts. All together, the Spitfire and Devotion combines for a whopping 79 bullets without any extended magazines. This allows for anyone to spray down and suppress enemies with ease for long periods.
Both these guns have great damage capabilities as well, so don’t think that you’ll be spraying without looking for eliminations either. The Spitfire actually has pretty good accuracy for a light-machine gun, while the Devotion packs more damage-per-second. All in all, it’s a good combo when you’d rather not reload during a fight.
“For Beginners” (Spitfire + EVA-8)
Finally, a beginner-friendly loadout for those just trying out the game. As we’ve said before, the Spitfire has plenty of ammo for a new player to fire, while also staying relatively stable. It also doesn’t have a spin-up time on it, unlike the Devotion.
We’ll be combining the Spitfire with the EVA-8 Auto shotgun, which is a great option early for people getting used to aiming in Apex Legends. The EVA-8 has the fastest fire rate and the largest magazine in the shotgun category, making it much more forgiving than its counterparts.
The EVA-8 does lack a bit in damage, but for new players, it is better to have more chances to shoot rather than relying on accuracy. The only downside is if you get into a long-range firefight. In that case, you might not have the tools to win, but, hopefully, your teammates have got your back.
